Vulnerable women/girls on vocational skill training initiated by JAPDO
Promoting human rights and protection of civilian workshop held for the ommunity influential members in the hardest to reach areas in lower juba region of somalia. This project was funded by UNDOM in coordination with UNICEF
Inter-school sports tournament for school human rights clubs held in Bulabartire and Ceeljaalle students. This advocacy project on public education in human rights and protection of civilian project is funded by UNSOM with support of UNICEF and implemented by JAPDO




GBV awareness in the most remote and hard-to-reach areas outside Kismayo and close next to Jamame District under the control of terrorist Alshbaab where so many draught affected IDps households live. These villages namely: Eeljale2, Farwaamo, wurkooy, istampul and Haji Wayne.

JAPDO team conducting prevention of COVID19 awareness. The project targeted the most highly populated IDPS camps where the mass numbers of the vulnerable communities live in. JAPDO supported by the Fins group of consultant(FGC) under the URURKAAB project achieved to reach 30,000 HOhs and made sure of inclusivity of the minority groups by direct engagement and media campaigns.




Japdo training sessions for 60 community champions selected from marginalized groups in the IDPs.
The training named Public Education on Human Rights and prevention of Marginalization with the inclusion of IDP women and girls from the target communities' "marginalized groups" contributed positive thoughts and changed false beliefs of depriving the rights of many despised people in the community.




Awareness Campaign for Prevention Marginalized group
The committees passed the knowledge gained to the entire communities in the rest of the camps where they visited from door-to-door IDPS visit and sensitized them on Human Rights.
The 60 trained community champions reached every camp in the town and fulfilled their mission by making sure each and every person gets hints about the elements of Human Rights prior to prevention of SGBV, prevention of marginalization by making sure equal access to humanitarian aids, prevention of CAAC, reduction of child labor, prevention of early marriages and lobed for early childhood as shield against militarization and early marriage for younger stars.
Japdo along with the Human Rights champions made action point of monthly meetings for an interval of weeks for specific camp to continue addressing the protection concern needs in the IDPs camps.


Japdo participating in 16 Days of activism where all stake All protection working organizations participate in the activism and each member contributed a certain amount to boost the good go of the event. Japdo team participated in both financial support and manpower during the End of GBV campaign which was the beginning of the days.


This forum attended by Jubaland state actors, government officials prior to the ministry of gender, family affairs and Human Rights team who greatly welcomed the Protection working group members into the session with the collaboration of all stakeholders, the event took place marvelously

This program is designed for new and/or experienced advocacy and development practitioners from organizations, coalitions, institutions, or social movements working to advance human rights and social justice, primarily in the learning the theoretical foundations and critical issues in human rights advocacy; and strengthening communication skills which are to key to making an effective case for change

Stakeholders planning meeting with all the agriculture working groups in the region, this meeting attended collectively prior to the central government, Jubaland state ministry of agriculture, Adam Smith International, farmers stakeholders cooperatives, and NGOs who have been busy in the field over the years.









Joint Human Rights training session conducted by Japdo along with the Human Rights working group led by the Ministry of gender, family affairs, and Human Rights. This was attended by all NGOs and line ministries in the region.
Child rights awareness and early childhood education at newly established camps in Kismayo by the displaced agropastoral community who lost their means of survival during the last floods and military operations which have negatively impacted their lives and resulted displacement.
